Student Life in Farnham

It is undeniable that Farnham is not a student location on the scale of Manchester or Bristol and, whilst there are some student venues in Farnham itself, at the UCA campus, The Maltings and local pubs the nearest large clubs, pubs and cinemas are in Aldershot or Guildford to which there are bus and train connections.  London is only an hour or so away by train.

Transport

Farnham station is a short walk from UCA Campus and Farnham town centre and provides National Rail links to London (via Woking), Aldershot and Guildford.  Portsmouth, Reading and most other destinations require at least one change.

National Express runs a service through Farnham from Portsmouth to London Victoria (via Heathrow).   If you are catching the coach from Farnham to London Victoria or Heathrow it departs from the bus stop on The Borough (next to the Queens Head Pub). If you are heading to Portsmouth or arriving from London, the bus stop is at Sainsbury's in South Street.

By car, Farnham is 11 miles south-west of Guildford and is clearly signposted from the A3, A31, M3 and A287.  There are a number of Pay & Display car parks in the town centre but free parking for students with cars can be difficult.
